Supervised Lampworking Lab with Monitor Cindi Hardwicke

This lab is a studio space for lampworkers who have already demonstrated basic skills to manipulate glass on a torch to practice and improve their skills. A basic knowledge of glass studio safety is also required. 

 

PLEASE SEE SUPPLY LIST BELOW LAB DATES. GLASS IS NOT INCLUDED.

 

*NOTE*

This lab is not an instructional class, but the lab instructor will be happy to provide minimal assistance as needed. 

 

Students must have previously taken a Glass Lampworking Workshop with Justin Pettingell, Michael Peluso, or Cindi Hardwicke, or be able to demonstrate proof of torchworking skills to Cindi in order to utilize this lab.

  • SUPPLY LIST

    For Soft Glassworkers:

    Please bring your own Lampworking Glass Rods and other materials that you may require.

     

    Basic tools, didymium glasses, mandrels, and bead release are provided for your use.

     

    *Limited supplies of 104 coe glass rods will be available for purchase in the studio. 

     

    The studio is equipped with 5 Mini-CC torches which work for both 104 coe soft glass, as well as small borosilicate glassworks. We also have a Chili Pepper kiln and a Paragon Kiln to anneal soft glass beads, pendants, and small sculptural pieces.

  • Refund Policy

    The Art Center does not provide cash refunds for classes or workshops unless the class or workshop is cancelled by The Art Center. To request a withdrawal from a purchased class or workshop, students must contact The Art Center a minimum of 7 days before the first day of class. Students who request a withdrawal will receive a class credit for the tuition paid for the class. Students who withdraw fewer than 7 days before the first day of class will receive a class credit of 90% of the tuition paid for the class. No refunds or credits will be issued once a session has started.

    Please note: The Art Center is unable to provide class credit, make-up opportunities, or refunds, or prorate classes for students who miss class due to illness or personal scheduling conflicts. Class & workshop registrations are non-transferable.
