Still Lifes (Ages 9-14)

A still life is an integral part of the art world! They date back to the ancient  Egyptians in the 15th century BCE! You will learn how to arrange inanimate objects to create an interesting composition. Over the course of a week you will draw three different still lifes. I bet you will LOVE what you create!!

  • Supply List

    1. 9X12 inch drawing pad-70 lbs, 24 sheets

    2. Graphite pencils-2h, 4h, 6h, hb, 2b, 4b, 6b

    3. White Factis eraser or General’s triangular eraser

    4. Pencil sharpener

    5. Set of colored pencils-24 or more in a set

    6. Set of paper blending sticks- assorted sizes

    7. Three medium sized objects to set up your own still life to draw on DAY 3 of the class

  • Refund Policy

    Camp Cancellation Policy:

    25% of camp tuition is non-refundable. Campers who withdraw more than 14 days before the first day of camp will receive a class credit of 75% of the tuition paid for the camp. There is no refund for cancellation of enrollment within 14 days of the start of the camp. Campers are not allowed to transfer or change camps within 7 days of the start of camp.

    The Art Center does not provide cash refunds for classes, workshops, or camps unless the class, workshop, or camp is cancelled by The Art Center.

    Refund or credit cannot be issued for absences. The Art Center is unable to provide class credit, make-up opportunities, or refunds, or prorate classes for students who miss camp day(s) due to illness or personal scheduling conflicts.

  • General Camp Policies

    Most camps have a required supply list. Supplies must be purchased in advance and brought to camp on the first day unless otherwise noted. Please check each camp’s description carefully for specific materials and instructions.

    Please arrive on time and plan to pick up your child promptly at the end of camp. If your child has any allergies, special needs, or requires accommodations, be sure to notify us via email after registration at art.center@verizon.net.
