FUNdamental Drawing (Ages 9-14)
Students will develop techniques to create the illusion of three-dimensional objects on paper using specific pencil strokes. They will enhance their understanding of values, graphite pencils, lighting, composition, and the interplay between foreground and background. The course includes focused instruction on drawing facial features and elements of the human body, catering to both beginners and those seeking to refine their skills. Additionally, students will explore the art of stippling through a dedicated lesson and project. They will also challenge themselves by drawing unconventional objects, learning to capture intricate details and highlights with precision. The final class will be devoted to mastering the techniques for drawing animal fur, emphasizing texture and realism.
