Over the course of 4 class sessions, you will learn how to use acrylic paint to create deep shadows and bold highlights, as well as paint brush usage, and techniques to create desired effects. Each painting will begin with a light charcoal sketch, creating the layout of your design. Please bring a reference picture to paint from (calendar picture, brochure, printed picture, or digital image from an electronic device). We will be working on 11”x 14” stretched canvas (or canvas board, if you wish to frame your painting). All sketch and painting supplies will be provided. Additional canvases can be purchased during class for $5 each. No previous painting experience is necessary for this class.
