Creating Amazing Pictures with Your Phone Camera-ONLINE
Take Your Camera Phone Seriously
You can take this class from the comfort and safety of your home; access Zoom from your phone, tablet, laptop, or computer (if it has a microphone and a camera). The instructor will email you a link to the meeting. When it’s time for the meeting to start, you simply click the link and you’ll be in the meeting. There is no need to register with Zoom and no need to sign it. You will be able to see and hear your instructor—and the other students. You’ll be able to make comments and ask questions.
If you have two devices, you can watch (and listen to) the instructor on one device and take the suggested actions on your phone.
You take lots of pictures with your phone, but—are you happy with them? Do you keep thinking that they could look better? This is your opportunity to learn how to use your phone camera to take pictures that you previously thought were only possible with a professional-level camera. You will learn specific tips and techniques for phone photography as well as the time-honored principles of composition and lighting. Your instructor is a retired educator with over 40 years of experience as a photographer—who has discovered that he really can create amazing pictures with his phone camera. (The instructor uses an iPhone 8 Plus, but most of the suggestions are applicable to any phone camera.)
Students have been very happy with photography classes conducted online by Dennis Baker.
Myrl Hersh, a local businessman and photography-hobbyist recently stated, “I actually found it more personal and interactive than an (in-person) class.”
Another student commented that she could see the content better because it was very clear on her computer monitor; not projected on a distant screen.
And, a third student said that the online classes felt more intimate because she could see and easily interact with all of the other students.
